Introducing TextMyGov 

The City of Strawberry Point is thrilled to announce the launch of TextMyGov! This will be a convenient way for the City to communicate with residents and visitors. People will be able to sign up to receive text message notifications from the City, such as events, electric/water outages or work in your area, and other categories. The system is entirely free for users, and 100% opt-in, meaning you can stop receiving messages whenever you choose.

• How do I start receiving TextMyGov notifications?

  • Use the form below to opt into the system. Choose each of the categories from which you want to receive alerts. 

• Is there an app for TextMyGov?

  • No apps! Subscribe to specific notification groups by using the signup form below. 

• How often will I receive texts?

  • We do our best to only provide you with useful information. If you feel that you are receiving too many messages, you can always text STOP to opt out. 

• Why do I need to give me name and address?

  • Some of the alerts are geographically based, such as power outages and work in your area. It also helps us to maintain an accurate database and keep malicious users from using the system.

• How soon will I start receiving text alerts?

  • Our database is synced once a week. There are not frequent alerts, so it could be several days after synced that you receive an alert.
