Demolition Grants Available

Pursuant to Resolution #26-90, the City of Strawberry Point has approved the Dilapidated Structure Demolition Assistance Program. The program offers the following:

  1. Up to 50% of the cost for private demolition, with a cap at $3,000.

  2. Free City demolition permit for approved participants.

Program Requirements:

  1. Property in city limits; structure found uninhabitable or dilapidated by the City Administrator.

  2. Utility disconnects, inspections, using licensed & insured contractor, full structure removal, and the lot graded and seeded.

  3. Applications funded first-come, first-served. Once the grant funds are committed, the program will pause. Apply using the form below.
